Wow what can I say? The new first years arrived at uni, the boredom of enrollment was lifted due to no queues, i finally managed to get a sort of band together, and the house is nearly sorted.

So the freshers arrive at uni, I make friends with one and I join her and some friends out for the start of freshers week. Well what an awsome night that was, so it continued…all the way through the week. I can not remember the last time I drank so much, had so much fun, and a general good time with friends. I didn’t get out much during my first year, which was a mistake I admit but this totally made up for it. I experienced my first UV Bubble Party at Scream, and was part of the biggest night there ever!

Well as things were going so well I decided to catch up with a friend of mine from my course. It turned out she wanted to make a band, so we did! When I say band I mean two guitarists and ProTools with LOTS of plugins. The setup we currently have is great she’s great at clean riffs, whereas I’m good at heavy riffs, when you couple that with a DigiDesign Digi 002 rack and ProTools 7.4.2 on a Mac the possibilities are endless. The songs are still in the infant stage of progression, but we’re getting there and will eventually have an album. As time goes by I will probably be adding songs to this site (when I write the module for MP3 playback).

Finally we have the house in Lincoln. Fordy and I decided to rent a house together and set it up properly. We currently have the two bedrooms, I have an office in which I have my home studio and all the house network servers, and switches. I have built a Linux based media center PC outputting 1080p HD to the 32" screen in the living room which can play all our music, videos, TV, and more. I still need to build the Linux box for the kitchen but everything else is in place. The only things really left to do are to build the kitchen PC, sort out the house servers properly, a general tidy of the whole house, and then get drunk and wreck the place again.

Well on with life we go, and into a new year a uni, this is going to be a good year. 2pm start and it’s great!!
