Today marks the start of my third year at Lincoln Uni studying, sorry I mean ‘reading’ a degree in Audio Technology. First of I find that the faculty of computing and informatics has changed its name to ‘Lincoln School of Computer Science’, so I went from being part of a faculty to being back at school, whoopeeeee.

All of that is good and well however my first day really wasn’t all it should have been cracked up to be. The first thing that happened was the issue with the student loans all being very late, then my bank not putting a hold on my rent payment, then having to go to uni for what seemed like a complete waste of time.

Why would I while on an Audio Technology degree want to write scripts for a TV show? My tutorial was cancelled fair enough as we haven’t actually been assigned our tutors yet so I can kinda understand that one, however I am stumped as to what use the lecture after was to me. I was in a room of 200+ media students sitting with 3 other Audio Tech students, and we were bombarded with information which meant nothing to us, and had no relevance what so ever to our course.

We are supposed to be doing an audio project, however non of the slides had anything to do with audio let alone a project to do with audio. Now I have an idea that involves a web app and audio, and have to get a proposal in for the end of this week, however I am even more confused about what the goal posts are for this assignment, and after speaking with fellow students off my course, they are in the same situation.

I just hope that things become clearer about this year at uni with it being my final year I can’t screw things up, but all that is happening currently is a LOT of confusion and annoyance. Come on guys be a little more descriptive about your assignments and expectations please!!
